Impact Documentary Filmmaking Summer Immersive Experience

The impact documentary filmmaking immersive experience provides students with the technical and artistic skills to create socially impactful documentaries. By examining Splicer Films' social change documentaries and their accompanying impact campaigns, students will learn the process of raising awareness and creating social change through filmmaking. Through practical workshops and hands-on experience, students will create a socially impactful documentary short and impact campaign plan in groups with the goal of creating tangible change. At the end of the course, group film projects may be presented to community audiences.

  • Student level: Grades 9 - 12 or College level beginner filmmakers

  • This program involves a collaborative group documentary short project. A minimum of eight students are needed to hold the class.
